IMMOTION (headquartered in the United States), whose virtual reality (VR) attractions are used in over 150 facilities worldwide, including zoos, aquariums, and museums, will be introduced to aquariums in Japan for the first time from September 1st (Tuesday) to November 30th (Monday), 2026*1. Enjoy an underwater experience that makes you feel as if you've stepped into the ocean, with 360-degree stereoscopic images and capsule-shaped seats that move in all directions in sync with the movement of the images.

The available content includes three types of experiences: "Dolphins of the Coral Reefs," which has won numerous international awards in the film industry, as well as "Shark Dive" and "Swimming with Humpbacks." By experiencing the lives of marine animals through immersive videos, you can deepen your understanding of and interest in the natural marine environment and wild animals.

IMMOTION collaborates with marine biologists and environmental conservation experts to develop VR content themed around wildlife and the natural environment, conveying the allure of marine life and the importance of ecosystems.

Enjoy observing the animals on display at our museum, along with an overwhelmingly immersive experience through IMMOTION's unique VR attraction.

Available hours: Weekdays 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM / Weekends and holidays 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience time: Approximately 6 minutes

Participation fee: 1,000 yen per content (tax included)

How to participate: Register on the day at the VR attraction location.

Eligibility: Must be 90cm or taller. Children under elementary school age must be accompanied by a guardian.

The installation period may end or be extended without prior notice.

Content is subject to change without notice.

This tour involves shaking and vibrations. Those with health concerns should refrain from participating.

1. "Dolphins of the Coral Reefs"

Set against the backdrop of the crystal-clear, beautiful Red Sea, you can experience the feeling of gracefully swimming through colorful Coral Reefs alongside a pod of approximately 25 wild bottlenose dolphins. This globally acclaimed work has won numerous international awards in the film industry, including the Best VR Award at the 2026 Lumiere Awards, which recognizes outstanding XR*2 productions in Hollywood.

*2 Abbreviation for Cross Reality. A technology that merges the real world and the virtual world to create new experiences, and is a comprehensive general term for cutting-edge technologies such as "VR (Virtual Reality)," "AR (Augmented Reality)," and "MR (Mixed Reality)."

2. "Shark Dive"

This documentary takes viewers on a dive to Tiger Beach, a famous area in the Bahamas, to explore the lives of giant tiger sharks and hammerhead sharks. It includes rare footage filmed using a VR camera attached to a shark's dorsal fin—a world first. Enjoy an astonishing underwater experience that allows you to see the vast ocean from the shark's perspective.

3. "Swimming with Humpbacks"

Dive into Tonga's clear blue waters and observe up close the mystical sight of a giant humpback whale mother and calf swimming side-by-side. Guided by Robert Baldwin, a leading expert in whale research, you can dynamically experience the strong bond between mother and calf and the beautiful whale songs echoing through the ocean.
