Apology and Notice Regarding Partial Ceiling Collapse

Today, September 2, 2026 (Wednesday), at approximately 10:55 AM, a section of the ceiling collapsed in the viewing area in front of the "Ogasawara Sea Life" on the 5th floor of the building.

No injuries to customers or staff have been reported as a result of this incident.

We sincerely apologize for the great inconvenience and concern caused to our visitors and all those involved.

■Regarding the current response

Prioritizing the safety of our customers, we have prohibited entry to the area where the object fell and surrounding areas, and are conducting an emergency inspection of the entire facility.

Furthermore, we are currently investigating the cause of the fall and will work in cooperation with relevant organizations and specialized companies to determine the cause and consider measures to prevent recurrence.

■Regarding future actions

Based on the investigation into the cause and safety checks, we will carry out the necessary restoration work and strive to prevent a recurrence. For the time being, access to a portion of the viewing area in front of the "Ogasawara Sea Life" will be prohibited.

Regarding other areas, no abnormalities have been found in the emergency inspection of the entire facility at this time, so we will operate as usual. We will continue to strive to ensure an environment in which our customers can use our facilities with peace of mind.

We will inform you again about the reopening date of the restricted area once safety has been confirmed.
