Head to Sumida Aquarium on the 5th and 6th floors of Tokyo Skytree Town®!

The entrance to Sumida Aquarium is on the 5th floor. Please use the aquarium elevator or escalator located outdoors on the 4th floor of the West Yard.
On holidays, there may be long lines to purchase admission tickets, so we recommend purchasing your online ticket in advance to avoid waiting in line!

It's like an ocean planetarium!
A fantastical jellyfish illumination.

After enjoying the starry sky, head to the fantastical world of the sea.
jellyfish are written in kanji as "kurage" (海月) because the way they float in the ocean resembles the moon in the night sky.
The basin-shaped aquarium "Big Schale" allows you to observe jellyfish from above, and you can see jellyfish looking just like the full moon.

A look behind the scenes at animal husbandry work!
At Aqua Base and in the Labo,
Learn about deep aquariums.

At the Aqua Base, you can get a close-up look at how the animals' food is prepared and the breeding facilities.
This open space consists of two areas: the " Kitchen " where food for the animals is prepared, and the " Labo " where the jellyfish are raised.
Why not learn more about the animals by communicating with the animal care staff ?

Located about 1,000km south of central Tokyo, the Ogasawara are in the same Tokyo metropolitan area as Sumida Aquarium and are the only World Natural Heritage site within Tokyo.
The Ogasawara Sea Life recreates the ocean surrounding the Ogasawara , where approximately 450 different fish from 45 different species swim leisurely.
Recreated with the cooperation of Ogasawara Village, you can experience the rich, deep, and crystal clear Bonin Blue sea right in the heart of the city.

After leaving the aquarium, take the Tobu Skytree Line to Asakusa, which is just one stop away.
Enjoy the illuminated Sensoji Temple at night and sample Asakusa's famous kaminariokoshi (rice crackers), ningyoyaki (demon cakes), jumbo melon bread, and minced meat cutlets!
*Sensoji Temple is open until 5:00 PM. You are free to visit the temple grounds even after closing time, so you can visit the temple from outside the illuminated hall.
