Please tell me how to get there from the station.
It is located right next to Tokyo Skytree Station on the Tobu Skytree Line, and a 5-minute walk from Oshiage (Skytree-mae) Station on the Tobu Skytree Line, Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line, Keisei Oshiage Line, and Toei Subway Asakusa Line. -
Please tell me how to get there by city bus or circular bus.
In addition to the tourist buses that depart from Tokyo Station and Ueno Matsuzakaya and head to Kinshicho Station, you can also take the Toei bus from Nippori, Shimbashi, Hirai, and Kameido to get to Tokyo Skytree Station. -
Is there parking available?
The aquarium does not have a dedicated parking lot. Please use the parking lot at Tokyo Skytree Town®.
Parking is available for a fee (450 yen for 30 minutes).
Please note that the aquarium is not eligible for discount services when purchasing. -
Is there a parking lot nearby for groups?
The aquarium does not have a dedicated group bus parking lot.
Please use the Tokyo Skytree® group bus parking lot.For inquiries, please contact the Tokyo Skytree Group Reservation Center (TEL: 03-3626-0634) -
Are there any days when the museum is closed?
We are open all year round. However, we may be closed temporarily for facility inspections, etc. -
What are your business hours?
Weekdays are from 10:00 to 20:00, and weekends and holidays are from 9:00 to 21:00.
Last admission is one hour before closing time.

About fees and payments

When and where can I buy tickets?
We recommend purchasing online tickets in advance. Tickets can be purchased 30 days before your planned visit (Webket membership registration required. Click here for details ). If you would like to purchase tickets on the day, please use the ticket vending machines inside the museum. Please inquire at the ticket counter regarding the use of various discount coupons.

Please tell me how to enter at the junior high and high school student rate.
Please purchase your ticket online or at a ticket machine, and bring proof of student status, such as your student ID, when entering the venue. -
Are there discounts for people with disabilities?
Persons with a disability certificate and one accompanying person can enter at half the regular price.
Additionally, for annual passes, one person with a disability certificate will be admitted at half price. -
From what age do I need an admission ticket?
Admission tickets are required for children aged 3 and over.

About Annual Passports

Where can I purchase an Annual Pass?
[If you wish to purchase a card-type annual passport]
After paying at the ticket counter, you will be asked to register your personal information on the self-service computer at the annual pass issuing counter.
*Your face photo will be taken.[If you have an annual passport exchange voucher]
Please present this at the ticket counter. You will be given a ticket for issuing a card-type annual passport. You will then be asked to register your personal information on the self-service computer at the annual passport issuing counter.
*Your face photo will be taken.[If you would like a digital annual passport]
You can purchase a new Webket annual passport . It is valid for one year from your first visit.
When you visit, please log in using your smartphone browser and present the screen of your annual passport with the 2D barcode.*Please purchase using your smartphone.
*If you do not have a smartphone or have an annual passport exchange voucher, please come to the ticket counter. -
Do I need to show identification when purchasing an Annual Pass?
No. However, junior high and high school students must present their student handbook. -
Can I get a refund for my Annual Passport, change the name on it, give it away, or lend it to someone else?
The passport is valid for the person in question only.
Fees cannot be refunded, the name cannot be changed, or the equipment cannot be transferred or loaned. -
What happens if I forget my Annual Pass?
If you forget your passport, you will be charged the regular admission fee. -
I have a card-type Annual Passport. Can I change it to a digital Annual Passport?
Transfers cannot be made within the expiration date.
After the expiration date, please purchase a new Webket annual passport . -
When I purchase a new Digital Annual Passport, what are the expiration dates?
Once purchased, the pass is valid for one year from your first visit.

We hope you will spend about an hour and a half relaxing here. -
Can I re-enter?
When re-entering, please present your ticket with a re-entry stamp at the information counter at the entrance. -
Can I bring my own lunch? Is there a place to eat my lunch?
You may bring in food and drinks. However, please take any trash you bring in with you home with you. Please sit on a chair while eating inside the building. Please refrain from eating while walking as this may cause inconvenience to other customers.
If you are a group and would like to bring your own lunch, please contact us in advance.

Where can I eat the products I purchased at the cafe in the building?
Please eat and drink on the sofa in front of the Penguin Café. Please refrain from eating while walking around the building. -
Is there a place where I can look around while holding an umbrella on a rainy day?
No, it's all indoors. -
Is there anything I can't bring into the building?
We reserve the right to refuse entry to visitors bringing large (long) luggage or other items that the museum deems inappropriate (such as kick scooters or carry-on bags).
Also, please refrain from bringing in any living creatures. -
Are pets allowed?
With the exception of assistance dogs such as guide dogs, no pets are allowed inside the building. -
What kind of experience programs are available?
There are experience programs that require advance application and experience programs that can be applied for on the day.

There are two baby rest rooms and nursing rooms with hot water in the building. -

Can I make a call over the in-house announcements?
There are no calls made within the building. -
What should I do if my child gets lost?
Please speak to a member of staff nearby. -
Are there strollers available for rental?
No. Please use the services within Tokyo Skytree Town. -
Can I leave my stroller there?
There is a stroller parking area at the 5th floor aquarium entrance (outside the building). Please be sure to take your valuables with you when leaving your stroller unattended. We are not responsible for any items lost or stolen in the stroller parking area. -
Do you have wheelchairs available for loan?
There is a limited number available. -
Can I enter with an electric wheelchair with a handle (senior car, senior car)?
Electric wheelchairs with handles (senior cars, senior cars) are not permitted to enter the venue. -
Are the signs in the building available in foreign languages?
We can assist you in English.

About the facilities and equipment

Please tell me the locations and number of toilets, multipurpose rooms, and nursing rooms.
There are three toilets (two on the 5th floor and one on the 6th floor *each has a multi-purpose room).

Are there coin lockers?
No. Please use the facilities within Tokyo Skytree Town. -
Is there an ATM in the building?
No. Please use the facilities within Tokyo Skytree Town. -
Are there any smoking areas inside the building?
Smoking is prohibited inside the aquarium.
Smoking areas are available in the Sky Arena on the 4th floor (under the aquarium entrance escalator). -
Is there free Wi-Fi?
Free Wi-Fi is available at Sumida Aquarium. Please use the information provided at the information counter.[Notes on use]- An access key is required to connect. Please check the notices posted in the library for details.
- The museum will not be held responsible for any virus infection, loss of information, or other damage that may occur as a result of using this service.
- Please note that communication speeds may be reduced or connections may not be possible depending on your communication device environment and line congestion.
- The museum cannot provide any support regarding the communication devices you use, the communication terminal environment, or various settings.
- The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, etc.

Regarding photography inside the museum

Can I take photos or videos inside the museum?
Filming for personal enjoyment is permitted. Filming for commercial or profit-making purposes (including monetized YouTube channels or other video sharing platforms) without permission is prohibited.In addition, please refrain from the following actions:- Flash photography and lighting photography
- Do not take photographs in a way that disturbs other customers, such as by shouting or occupying space.
- Shooting using a tripod or auxiliary equipment

Can I publish the footage on video streaming sites or social media?
- Please refrain from publishing for commercial purposes (including monetized channels).
- Please refrain from publishing any photos that may violate the privacy of customers or employees who are not related to the photographer.
- Please refrain from live streaming within the aquarium without permission.

Regarding group use

Can I make a reservation on the date I want?
Depending on the reservation status of your desired date, we may ask you to adjust the date and time. -
What are the general group rates applicable to?
This discount applies to groups of 20 or more people paying in one lump sum. (Reservation required) -
What is the definition of a school group and what are the number requirements?
School group rates apply for group use for school events such as field trips and out-of-town learning (reservations required).
Please contact us for details on the scope of application. There are no restrictions on the number of people. -
When the school group rate applies, what is the fee for the accompanying teacher?
Admission is free for accompanying teachers. For universities and vocational schools, there is a limit to the number of teachers who can attend, so please contact us for details. -
Can I inspect the property?
If you would like to view the property, please fax us a reservation application form at least 7 days before your desired date. -
Please tell me the conditions for preview inspection.
- School groups: Free for up to three accompanying teachers for groups that have already booked or are considering booking.
- General groups: Free for up to 3 people with reservations of 20 or more people
- For both school groups and general groups, the general rate applies for groups of four or more.
